Jake Delhomme, QB - With having one of the best receivers in the game in Steve Smith, Delhomme still only passed for 2805 yards and 17 TD's in 13 games. Not terrible numbers but not good enough at all. Considering the Panthers signed David Carr, it wouldn't be surprising if Delhomme is on a very very short leash at the very least.

David Carr, QB - The big question is whether Carr is not a very good QB or if he was just on a very bad team. If by some chance he was just on a bad team, it would stand to reason Carr could even take over the starting QB job at some time.

DeShaun Foster, RB - Many expected Foster would have a big season in 2006 until the Panthers drafted DeAngelo Williams. Williams steals too many carries from Foster to consider Foster a quality fantasy back.

DeAngelo Williams, RB - He stole nearly a third of Fosters carries in 2006 as a rookie. With a year experience, he could very well steal more carries in 2007.  Even if he stole half of the carries, Williams is not a worthy fantasy back to consider too highly. If Foster or Williams goes down with injury, the other becomes a near "Must Have"!

Steve Smith, WR - Right now, Steve Smith is one of the top receivers in the NFL. In 2005 he had 1563 yards and 12 TD's. In 2006 he had 1166 yards and 8 TD's in only 14 games. Actually considering he had 0 catches on Christmas Eve, he put up those numbers in 13 games. Definitely worth an earlier draft pick in any fantasy league.

Keyshawn Johnson, WR - Johnson has agreed to a substantial deal with ESPN and is now retiring. Do not draft him!

Michael Gaines, TE - Gaines is not worth any consideration of drafting in any fantasy league.

ROOKIES

Dwayne Jarrett, WR - Jarrett has the ability to be an immediate contributor. With the retirement of Keyshawn Johnson, Jarrett will have the opportunity to do so. The best thing for Jarrett is that He has Steve Smith to play opposite from. Defenses will have to pay too much attention to Smith, leaving Jarrett with plenty of 1-on-1 opportunities.
